Nastia Korkia
Nastia Korkia is an independent filmmaker and researcher of Russian origin, based between Germany and Belgium.

Her documentary feature film "GES-2" premiered at the 78th Venice Film Festival in 2021. Her works were screened at IDFA, Berlin Critics Week, DOK Leipzig, True/False, Kasseler Doc, FIPA DOC, Sheffield DocFest, Metropolitan Museum, NY, among others.

Korkia's style leans towards constructing narratives in a kaleidoscopic way and working with formats that deviate from traditional documentary and narrative methods. She is keen on navigating the peripheries between different modes of storytelling, harnessing various media and technologies.

She is a Berlinale Talents alumna and received her MFA from DocNomads Erasmus Program delivered by a consortium of three universities in Portugal, Hungary and Belgium.

After the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine Nastia co-directed a short documentary film "Dreams about Putin" that premiered at IDFA 2023 and had its German premiere at the parallel event during Berlinale, Berlin Critics' Week.
